Kickoff
Shortstacks Finance for Kids began as an idea to close the gap in financial education for students ages 10–17. From concept to creation, I helped build a virtual banking app and educator portal that transforms classrooms into interactive financial ecosystems where kids learn by doing.
Challenge
The challenge was designing an experience that made financial literacy both engaging and educational. We needed to simplify concepts like saving, budgeting, and investing for younger users, while creating a platform teachers could seamlessly adopt. The product had to inspire confidence without overwhelming its audience.
Solution
Through ideation workshops, user research, and prototyping, I shaped the brand identity, UX flows, and educator tools that brought Shortstacks to life. The final solution included a teacher dashboard and student banking simulation, blending gamification with real-world money management skills. This process turned a classroom idea into a tangible, scalable ed-tech platform.
